Tantalus Estate in the Onetangi Valley includes 5.3 hectares of vineyards, a winery, a craft brewery and an expansive, light-filled restaurant with a seasonal menu built around fresh, local produce.
|
After departing from our Mechanics Bay Heliport in Auckland City you will soar over the Hauraki Gulf before arriving at Waiheke and with Tantalus coming into view, you will certainly be an awe of it's beautiful grounds and stunning architecture.
Why not depart via a loop of the Sky Tower and Rangitoto Island (additional cost) to make the trip even more memorable?
Tantalus Estate sits on eight hectares of free-draining sandy soil over weathered clay and rock, in the heart of Waiheke’s wine growing country. Their aim is to produce dense, complex Bordeaux and Rhone-style reds that will age beautifully.
The craft brewery & restaurant are considered among the best places to eat on Waiheke Island.
"The menu does what you want it to, succinctly describing each dish without any of those bewildering restaurant words that normally require a quick visit to dictionary.com. Simple in its explanation yet anything but in delivery, the only disappointing part of the whole meal was when it came to an end." - Harriet Johnstone Denizen Magazine
